rleyn W. Simon is an Associate Research Professor and curator of the Archaeological Research Institute, Department of Anthropology, Arizona State University. Dr. Simon is also a faculty Associate of the ASU Center for Solid State Science. She conducts research focusing on the compositional, material science, and quantitative analyses of prehistoric materials of the American Southwest. Dr. Simon received a Ph.D. in Anthropology/Archaeology from Arizona State University in 1988 and was a project director on the Roosevelt Platform Mound Study conducted by the Office of Cultural Resource Management from 1989-1996.
