Toward the back is the city of Tenochtitlan with its great causeways that communicated with other towns. In the middle range, the Sierra of Santa Catarina and the hill called Cerro de la Estrella; to the right are the volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl and Xochimilco in the foreground.
