The Templo Mayor Museum pertains to the National Institute of Anthropology and History. The director is Eduardo Matos Moctezuma, who is also in charge of the Templo Mayor Project. The texts on the Templo Mayor Internet pages were written by Lourdes Cué Avalos, Editorial Coordinator and assistant to the Director, following criteria established by the museum. The photographs were taken by archaeologist Salvador Guilliem and Satunino Vallejo, following the same guidelines. The drawings of the gods Tezcatlipoca, Mictlantecuhtli, Huitzilopochtli, Mayahuel, Quetzalcoatl, Tlaltecuhtli, Tlaloc and Xipe-Totec were done by Miguel Covarrubias and they appear in the book El Pueblo del Sol by Alfonso Caso, published by the Fondo de Cultura Económica, México, 1953, which controls the rights to these drawings under copyright law. The remaining line drawings were taken from different books written by Eduardo Matos Moctezuma and they are also protected under copyright law. With a support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Saburo Sugiyama of the Department of Anthropology of the Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, edited the Templo Mayor Internet pages with the assistance (html) of Michael Ritchie and Yosei Sugiyama. Debra Nagao translated the texts from Spanish into English.

By law the Templo Mayor Museum reserves all rights to texts and graphic materials published on this Internet page.
