Contents: Plainware, Redware, and Corrugated Rim/RV Attributes Analysis

Primary Key: Site + Prov + Bag + Obs

Description: This analysis includes more than 20,100 utilitarian ceramic rims, reconstructable and partially reconstructable vessels, and corrugated body sherds. Petrographic and technological variables characterize the utilitarian collection. This analysis tried to identify temporal and spatial dimensions of variability. The first level anlaysis included sherds from the entire project including figurines, ceramic pipes, and worked sherds. It was used to refine site-level ceramic counts and used to select sherd samples for the second-level analysis. Conjoining sherds from the same vessel were counted only once. Sherds were classified based on size, ware, temper, vessel part and form, smudging, surface treatment, and working.
